- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- In a bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast in the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray, place the coated chicken, and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Top each breast with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese, and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from air fryer, let cool briefly, and serve hot.
Notes
For a healthier option, use whole wheat breadcrumbs or panko for extra crunch. Adjust cooking time for frozen chicken breasts.
