Delightful cookie bars combining chocolate, coconut, and almonds in a chewy treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, combining until just blended.
  5. Fold in the shredded coconut, chopped almonds, and chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the baking dish before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely, then cut into squares.
