Description

Cozy bowl of tender beef meatballs simmered in a fragrant tomato sauce served over soft, buttery egg noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs.
  2. Mix gently but thoroughly so ingredients bind. Avoid overworking the meat.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8–10 minutes.
  4. Once meatballs are cooked through, pour marinara sauce over them and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked egg noodles, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Reserve a little pasta water when draining noodles to help the sauce cling. Grated Parmesan can be added at the table for extra flavor.
