Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 head of lettuce (such as butter or iceberg), leaves separated

Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, typically about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks for about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the grated carrot and diced bell pepper, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and minced ginger. Pour this sauce over the turkey and veggies, stirring well to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve the turkey mixture wrapped in lettuce leaves. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Use butter lettuce or Romaine for the best texture. Customize with different proteins or vegetables for variation.
