Description

Delicious bacon-wrapped Brussels sprouts with a crispy exterior and tender interior, finished with a squeeze of lemon for added brightness. Perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and trim the Brussels sprouts, removing any loose or damaged outer leaves, and cut a small slice off the stem to sit flat. Pat dry with a towel.
  2. Wrap each Brussels sprout with a slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
  3. Place the wrapped sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the sprouts are tender.
  4. Remove from the oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top. Let cool for a minute or two before serving warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush bacon with maple syrup during the last 5 minutes of baking. Ensure Brussels sprouts are dry to achieve crispiness.
