Description
Delicious bacon-wrapped Brussels sprouts with a crispy exterior and tender interior, finished with a squeeze of lemon for added brightness. Perfect as an appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and trim the Brussels sprouts, removing any loose or damaged outer leaves, and cut a small slice off the stem to sit flat. Pat dry with a towel.
- Wrap each Brussels sprout with a slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
- Place the wrapped sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the sprouts are tender.
- Remove from the oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top. Let cool for a minute or two before serving warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, brush bacon with maple syrup during the last 5 minutes of baking. Ensure Brussels sprouts are dry to achieve crispiness.
