Description

An indulgent appetizer featuring rich, creamy Brie cheese wrapped in flaky puff pastry, sweet honey, and crunchy nuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/4 cup of dried fruit (such as cranberries or apricots)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Place the Brie cheese in the center of the pastry. Drizzle honey over it, and sprinkle with nuts and dried fruit.
  4. Fold the pastry over the cheese, sealing it tightly.
  5. Brush the outside of the pastry with the beaten egg, then place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving with crackers, bread, or fruit.

Notes

For added flavor, include fresh herbs or honey as a topping when serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
