Description

A warm, hearty lasagna with layers of tender noodles, rich meat sauce, and blended cheeses. Perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat and drain excess fat. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with an egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a 9×13 inch baking dish, lay three noodles, add half the ricotta mixture, half the beef, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  4. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients and finish with a layer of noodles topped with marinara sauce and Parmesan. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 25 minutes until cheese is bubbly. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Allow lasagna to rest after baking for smoother slices. You can freeze it before baking for longer storage.
