- 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- Combine mixed berries with 1/4 cup sugar and lemon juice in a bowl; let sit for a few minutes.
- Whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Spoon the berry mixture over the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Notes
