Ingredients

  • 1 jar dill pickles
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Drain pickles and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each pickle slice in buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture until coated.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the pickles in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove the fried pickles and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
