Description
Delightful rosemary garlic mashed potatoes that are creamy and fluffy, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds potatoes (Yukon gold or russet)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup milk (or heavy cream)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preparation: Peel the potatoes and cut them into evenly sized chunks. Place them in a large pot, cover with salted water, and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes until tender.
- Sautéing: Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, ensuring not to brown the garlic.
- Mixing: Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Pour in the garlic-butter mixture, milk, and chopped rosemary. Mash the potatoes to your desired creaminess, adding more milk if needed.
- Finishing: Season the mashed potatoes with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
Notes
For extra creaminess, consider using heavy cream or adding more butter. These potatoes pair well with roasted meats or salads.
