- 4 slices of bread
- 1 cup blueberries
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and slightly frothy.
- Arrange the bread in the dish, scatter the blueberries over them, then pour the custard mixture over the bread and blueberries. Let sit for 2-3 minutes to absorb.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
Best served warm. You can add a drizzle of maple syrup or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra flavor.
