Description

Start your day with this delightful Breakfast Grilled Cheese combining melted cheese, fluffy scrambled eggs, and crispy bacon between perfectly toasted bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices of bacon
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until they are crispy and golden brown. Once done, remove the bacon from the skillet and set it aside on a paper towel to drain any excess grease.
  2. Crack the eggs into the remaining bacon fat. Scramble them gently with a spatula, seasoning with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Cook until just set but still creamy, about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Butter one side of each slice of bread generously. Place one slice, butter-side down, into the skillet. Layer the cheese on top, followed by scrambled eggs and the cooked bacon. Finally, place the second slice of bread on top, butter-side up.
  4. Cook the sandwich for about 3–4 minutes on medium heat, or until the bottom is golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the other side is nicely browned.
  5. Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice it in half, and serve immediately while it’s warm and gooey.
