Description
Delightful combination of sweet and savory, these bites feature flaky pastry, gooey brie cheese, tart cranberry sauce, and crunchy candied pecans.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 4 oz brie cheese
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
- 1/2 cup candied pecans
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Fresh thyme (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry until it’s about 1/8-inch thick. Cut the pastry into squares (about 3×3 inches).
- Place each square of puff pastry into the cups of a greased muffin tin. Cut the brie into small pieces and place one piece in the center of each pastry square. Top with a spoonful of cranberry sauce and sprinkle chopped candied pecans. Gently fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal the edges.
- Brush the tops of the pastry with a beaten egg. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown. Garnish with fresh thyme before serving warm.
Notes
Best served warm. Pair with a sparkling drink or plate elegantly on a charcuterie board.
