Description

Delightful combination of sweet and savory, these bites feature flaky pastry, gooey brie cheese, tart cranberry sauce, and crunchy candied pecans.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 oz brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup candied pecans
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Fresh thyme (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry until it’s about 1/8-inch thick. Cut the pastry into squares (about 3×3 inches).
  3. Place each square of puff pastry into the cups of a greased muffin tin. Cut the brie into small pieces and place one piece in the center of each pastry square. Top with a spoonful of cranberry sauce and sprinkle chopped candied pecans. Gently fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal the edges.
  4. Brush the tops of the pastry with a beaten egg. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown. Garnish with fresh thyme before serving warm.

Notes

Best served warm. Pair with a sparkling drink or plate elegantly on a charcuterie board.
