- 1 cup crushed peppermint cookies
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment. Crush peppermint cookies and chop nuts if needed.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a full boil and turns amber.
- Remove from heat and stir in crushed peppermint cookies and chopped nuts. Spread onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until bubbly and slightly golden. Remove and sprinkle chocolate chips over the surface; let sit to melt, then spread into a smooth layer. Cool completely and break into pieces.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage. Use room-temperature ingredients for smooth melting chocolate.
