Description

A peppermint-packed brittle combining crunchy cookie crumbs, toasted nuts, and smooth melted chocolate for a festive treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint cookies
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment. Crush peppermint cookies and chop nuts if needed.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a full boil and turns amber.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in crushed peppermint cookies and chopped nuts. Spread onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 10–12 minutes until bubbly and slightly golden. Remove and sprinkle chocolate chips over the surface; let sit to melt, then spread into a smooth layer. Cool completely and break into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage. Use room-temperature ingredients for smooth melting chocolate.
