Description
A cozy, weeknight-friendly casserole that combines tender shredded chicken, tangy ranch flavor, melty cheddar, and crispy tater tots on top.

- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 2 cups tater tots
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a medium baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ranch seasoning, sour cream, and milk. Stir until smooth. Taste and add salt and pepper as needed.
- Spread the chicken mixture in the greased baking dish. Arrange tater tots in a single layer on top. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over tater tots. Bake for 30–35 minutes until tater tots are golden brown and filling bubbles at the edges.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.
Notes
For extra creaminess, swap half-and-half for the milk or add cream cheese to the filling. To avoid a soggy bottom, pre-bake the chicken mixture for 10 minutes before adding tots and cheese.
