Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Beat in sugar, egg, and vanilla until combined.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually add to the cream cheese mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto greased baking sheets. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Let cool before transferring to wire racks.
