Description

A delightful comfort food that combines seasoned ground beef, creamy soup, gooey cheese, and tender egg noodles, perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Brown the ground beef with the chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, cooked egg noodles, and half of the cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs if desired. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix in a variety of cheeses or add chopped vegetables. Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
