- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Breadcrumbs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef with the chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, cooked egg noodles, and half of the cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs if desired. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
For extra flavor, mix in a variety of cheeses or add chopped vegetables. Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
