- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup broccoli florets (optional)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cooked rice, optional broccoli, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in half of the cheddar cheese until well blended. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs if using.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until heated through and bubbly. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, use leftover roasted chicken. You can substitute the cream of mushroom soup with cream of chicken or a homemade white sauce. Add extra greens like peas or spinach if desired.
