- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers (if grilling)
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
- Form the mixture into oblong patties or mold them onto skewers if you prefer grilling.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the kofta for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the kofta is cooking, prepare the garlic yogurt by mixing yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt until smooth.
- Serve the kofta hot with garlic yogurt on the side for dipping, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, allow the kofta to rest for a few minutes after shaping before cooking.
