Description

Juicy chicken patties infused with aromatic spices, served with a tangy garlic yogurt sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (if grilling)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into oblong patties or mold them onto skewers if you prefer grilling.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the kofta for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. While the kofta is cooking, prepare the garlic yogurt by mixing yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt until smooth.
  5. Serve the kofta hot with garlic yogurt on the side for dipping, garnished with extra parsley if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, allow the kofta to rest for a few minutes after shaping before cooking.
