Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.

  3. Pour in chicken broth and bring everything to a boil, letting the flavors meld together.
  4. Stir in the orzo pasta and broccoli florets. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is cooked al dente.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, allowing the flavors to enhance with each stir.

Notes

For added flavor, sauté some chopped onion along with the chicken sausage. You can make this dish vegetarian by replacing chicken sausage with plant-based sausage and using vegetable broth.
