Description

Delicious bars reminiscent of classic cookie dough with rich, buttery flavor and melty chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth (2-3 minutes).
  3. Blend in the vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Gradually incorporate the flour and salt until mixed, being careful not to over-mix.
  5. Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden and center looks set.
  9. Cool in the pan before lifting out and cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled. Best enjoyed with cold milk or vanilla ice cream.
