Delicious bars reminiscent of classic cookie dough with rich, buttery flavor and melty chocolate chips.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth (2-3 minutes).
- Blend in the vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually incorporate the flour and salt until mixed, being careful not to over-mix.
- Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Optional: Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden and center looks set.
- Cool in the pan before lifting out and cutting into squares.
Notes
Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled. Best enjoyed with cold milk or vanilla ice cream.
