Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter and sugar, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared baking pan and press it into an even layer.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting.
Notes
For best results, ensure the butter is room temperature and avoid overmixing the batter.
