Ingredients

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter; stir until well blended.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, making sure they are evenly distributed.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, adding a bit of butter or oil to prevent sticking.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Serve warm, optionally drizzled with syrup or topped with whipped cream.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
