Description

A rich, creamy chocolate pudding that’s easy to make and sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, mix together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt until there are no lumps.
  2. Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth and homogenous.
  3. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and it comes to a gentle boil, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and butter until melted. Pour pudding into serving dishes and refrigerate for about 2 hours.

Notes

Serve chilled, topped with whipped cream or chocolate shavings if desired. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3 to 5 days.
