- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Chocolate ganache or melted chocolate for filling
- Sprinkles or chopped nuts for decoration (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add to the butter mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, press an indentation into each, and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly firm but soft in the center.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Fill each well with chocolate and top with sprinkles or nuts if desired.
