Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Chocolate ganache or melted chocolate for filling
  • Sprinkles or chopped nuts for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add to the butter mixture until a soft dough forms.
  4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, press an indentation into each, and place them on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly firm but soft in the center.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Fill each well with chocolate and top with sprinkles or nuts if desired.
