Description

Chewy and buttery cookies with a soft, gooey center, finished with a festive powdered sugar coating.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of cake mix (yellow or butter)
  • 1/2 cup of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup of butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar for rolling
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, cream cheese, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  4. Scoop out tablespoons of dough and roll them into balls. Roll each ball in granulated sugar, then in powdered sugar.
  5. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between them. Bake for 12–15 minutes.
  6. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use room-temperature cream cheese and butter. Chill the dough for less spreading while baking.
