Description

A sweet, comforting breakfast that transforms store-bought cinnamon rolls into a golden, custardy stack, perfect for a cozy morning.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cinnamon rolls (with icing)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter or cooking spray (for the pan)
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and grease it with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth and slightly frothy.
  3. Cut the cinnamon rolls into quarters and gently fold them into the egg mixture until they soak well.
  4. Pour the mixture into the skillet, spreading it out evenly. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, flipping carefully.
  5. Serve warm with icing drizzled on top and maple syrup.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or a splash of cream to the custard. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
