Ingredients

- 500g bread flour
- 350ml water
- 100g sourdough starter
- 10g salt
- 30ml olive oil
- 20g honey
Instructions
- Mix the bread flour and water until no dry flour remains, then cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Add the sourdough starter, salt, olive oil, and honey, then mix until incorporated. Knead by hand for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise at room temperature for 4-6 hours until doubled in size.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface, shape into a round loaf, and let rest for 30 minutes while preheating the oven.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside for at least 30 minutes.
- Transfer the dough to the hot Dutch oven, score the top, cover, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and hollow when tapped.
- Cool on a wire rack for at least 1 hour before slicing.
Notes
For best texture, allow the bread to cool completely before slicing. Store at room temperature for up to 2 days.
