Description

A simple, bright side delivering garlicky, slightly spicy roasted broccoli with a salty Parmesan finish and a squeeze of lemon.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and dry the broccoli florets well.
  2. Toss broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Spread the broccoli on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast for 15-20 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
  4. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and lemon juice, and toss gently to combine. Serve warm.

Notes

For best results, dry the broccoli well before roasting and avoid overcrowding the pan. Add cheese off heat to prevent burning.
