- 1 cup cranberries, fresh or frozen
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda

- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch cast-iron skillet.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until glossy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the cranberries and diced apples. Pour batter into the skillet and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
- Cool in the skillet for a few minutes, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a light dusting of powdered sugar. For a festive touch, add whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
