Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1 cup cranberry jalapeño dip
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions

- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; mix well.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese, dip, and green onions.
- Gradually add buttermilk; stir until just combined. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
- Pat dough into a 1-inch thick circle; cut into wedges or rounds.
- Place on baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use cold butter for flaky scones. Brushing tops with buttermilk before baking enhances browning.
