Description
This creamy garlic chicken pan is an easy weeknight dinner with tender chicken breast simmered in a rich garlic cream sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the chicken to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 6–7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken and set aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in 1 cup chicken broth and bring it to a simmer, scraping any browned bits from the pan. Stir in 1 cup heavy cream and 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the creamy sauce over each piece to coat. Warm through for a minute or two. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Serve this chicken over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta to soak up the sauce. For lighter fare, consider serving with steamed vegetables or a salad.
