- 4 croissants, cut into pieces
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- a pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth and slightly frothy.
- Add the croissant pieces to the mixture and stir gently to combine. Let sit for about 10–15 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading the pieces evenly.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until set and golden brown. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
For extra richness, swap half the milk for cream or add an extra egg yolk. You can also include mix-ins like berries or chocolate chips.
