- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups Easter egg candies (like Cadbury eggs), chopped
- Whipped cream for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, mix the chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter until combined. Press into the bottom of a springform pan to form a crust.
- In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the sour cream and melted chocolate until smooth.
- Gently fold in the chopped Easter egg candies.
- Pour the filling over the crust in the springform pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Serve chilled with whipped cream on top.
