A rich and decadent Easter Chocolate Truffle Cake with creamy ganache and moist chocolate layers, perfect for holiday celebrations.

- 1 chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 12 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed until well blended.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
- Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until just simmering, then remove from heat and stir in chopped chocolate and vanilla extract until smooth. Let the ganache cool until thickened.
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate, spread half of the ganache on top, then place the second layer on top and pour remaining ganache over the cake.
- Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and a side of fresh berries for added balance.
