- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup pastel-colored M&Ms or other festive candies
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
- Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and the egg until well combined.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and M&Ms gently.
- Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until edges are golden.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
For a festive touch, scatter a few extra candies on top while the cake is warm or drizzle with melted white chocolate once cooled.
