Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: cooked bacon or ham, diced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough on a clean surface and separate it into triangles. Prepare diced bacon or ham if using.
- At the wide end of each triangle, place about a tablespoon of cheese and a pinch of bacon or ham if desired.
- Roll the dough from the wide end towards the point to form a roll, ensuring the edges are sealed.
- Place the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Beat the egg and brush it over the tops, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Let cool for 2-3 minutes and serve warm.
Notes
For a shiny top, you can use an egg wash. For added flavors, try different cheeses or add veggies.
