Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- Ground black pepper (to taste)
- Cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- Green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and ground black pepper. Stir the ingredients together to create a well-blended sauce.
- Add the chicken to the slow cooker and ensure it is evenly coated with the sauce.
- Cover the slow cooker with a lid and cook the chicken on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a little water to form a slurry. Stir this mixture into the sauce about 30 minutes before serving. Serve over rice or with vegetables, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
Notes
Feel free to prep the sauce the night before and consider marinating the chicken for added flavor.
