Description

Fun, colorful snack that tastes like a mini taco in every bite. Creamy, tangy filling with a bit of spice, rolled in tortillas and sliced into neat spirals.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked chicken or turkey, shredded
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 4 large tortillas
  • Optional: lettuce for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and taco seasoning until well blended.
  2. Stir in the shredded cheese, chicken or turkey, diced tomatoes, and green onions. Mix until the filling is even.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly over each tortilla. Roll tightly and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
  4. Unwrap and slice the tortillas into pinwheels. Serve with lettuce if desired.

Notes

These pinwheels can be made a day ahead and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator or frozen uncut for up to 1 month.
