A quick and flavorful dish featuring flaky cod fillets cooked in garlic butter, drizzled with a tangy sweet chili lime sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Chopped cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper. Mince the garlic and squeeze the lime into a small bowl. Set the fish on a plate so it’s ready to cook.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the sweet chili sauce with lime juice until smooth, then set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Carefully place the seasoned cod fillets in the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook another 4–5 minutes until the fish flakes easily.
  4. Remove the cod to a serving plate and drizzle with the sweet chili-lime sauce. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use fresh lime juice and pat the fish dry before cooking to avoid steaming. This dish pairs well with rice or a crisp salad.
