Description
Decadent brownies mash rich dark chocolate with sweet coconut and crunchy pecans.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup shredded coconut
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking pan.
- Melt the unsweetened chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract. In a bowl, whisk together flour and salt, then gradually add to the chocolate mixture, stirring until combined.
- Fold in chopped pecans and shredded coconut.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
For a fudgier center, slightly underbake and cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
