Delightful Gingerbread Truffles embody the festive spirit of the holiday season with rich flavors and a creamy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup gingerbread cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles or crushed nuts for coating

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the gingerbread cookie crumbs, cream cheese, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and powdered sugar until well combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Chill the truffles in the fridge for about 30 minutes until firm.
  4. Melt the milk chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
  5. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  6. Roll in sprinkles or crushed nuts if desired.
  7. Place back on the baking sheet and let the chocolate set.
  8. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

Ensure the cream cheese is very soft for easy mixing. For unique variations, consider adding vanilla extract or a pinch of sea salt.
