Description

A delightful appetizer featuring creamy Brie cheese and sweet fig jam, wrapped in flaky puff pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup fig jam
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Fresh thyme (optional, for garnish)
  • Crackers or sliced baguette (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry until it’s large enough to wrap around the Brie cheese completely.
  3. Place the Brie wheel in the center of the puff pastry and top it with fig jam.
  4. Fold the puff pastry over the Brie, sealing it well.
  5. Beat the egg and brush it over the top of the wrapped Brie.
  6. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving with crackers or sliced baguette.

Notes

Let the Brie cool for a few minutes to maintain its shape when slicing.
