- 1 loaf of bread
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced green chilies
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter with the garlic powder, onion powder, and salt until smooth.
- Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and spread the butter mixture evenly on the cut sides.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and diced green chilies over the buttered bread halves, pressing lightly.
- Place the bread halves on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly for 3–5 minutes. Slice and serve warm.
