Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly integrated.
  2. Cut each pita bread in half to create pockets. Gently stuff each half with the lamb mixture, ensuring they’re filled but not overly packed.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat. Brush the outside of each stuffed pita with a light coating of olive oil.
  4. Place the stuffed pitas on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the lamb is cooked through and the pita is crispy and golden brown.
  5. Once grilled, remove the pitas from the grill. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper or chopped chili to the lamb mixture.
