Description

A vibrant and hearty dish that combines robust grilled steak with fresh greens and veggies, topped with tangy feta cheese and a homemade balsamic vinaigrette.

Ingredients

  • Steak (your choice of cut)
  • Mixed greens (such as spinach, arugula, and romaine)
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • Red onion, thinly sliced
  • Feta cheese, crumbled
  • Olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh herbs (optional, such as parsley or cilantro)

Instructions

  1. Preparation: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Grilling the Steak: Place the seasoned steak on the grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Let it rest for a few minutes after grilling.
  3. Mixing the Salad: In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and thinly sliced red onion. Toss gently.
  4. Finishing Touches: Slice the grilled steak thinly against the grain and add to the salad. Crumble feta cheese on top and add fresh herbs. Whisk together olive oil and balsamic vinegar, drizzle over the salad, and toss gently. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftover salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days, keeping the dressing separate if possible.
