Description

Delightful, fluffy cinnamon rolls infused with warm flavor, topped with a creamy frosting perfect for Halloween festivities.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup icing sugar (for frosting)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for frosting)
  • Black and orange food coloring (optional for decoration)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, whisk warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Pour into the dry mixture and stir until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick and spread with melted butter.
  6. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over the buttered dough.
  7. Roll dough tightly from the longer side to form a log and slice into 12 equal pieces.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Prepare frosting by mixing icing sugar with milk until smooth.
  11. Drizzle frosting over warm rolls and decorate with colored frosting if desired.

Notes

Serve warm with apple cider or spiced pumpkin latte. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
