Description
This ham and cheese puff pastry is a delicious snack or light meal with a flaky, golden crust and melty cheese inside.

- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 4 ounces of sliced ham
- 4 ounces of cheese (such as Swiss or cheddar)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly flour your work surface and thaw the puff pastry if frozen, keeping it cool but pliable.
- Roll out the puff pastry to smooth any seams and cut into squares or rectangles. Place a slice of ham and cheese on each piece, seasoning with salt and pepper if desired.
- Fold the pastry over, seal the edges with a fork, and brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving and enjoy warm.
Notes
Keep pastry cold for best puffing. You can also customize with different cheese and fillings.
