A delightful fusion of savory flavors and tropical sweetness, these meatballs are a perfect addition to any dinner table or party spread.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pineapple chunks for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped green onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about one inch in diameter, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Serve with additional teriyaki sauce and garnish with fresh pineapple chunks and sesame seeds.

Notes

These meatballs can be served as an appetizer, over rice, or in a sandwich. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 2 months.
