- 1 pound ground beef or ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pineapple chunks for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped green onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about one inch in diameter, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Serve with additional teriyaki sauce and garnish with fresh pineapple chunks and sesame seeds.
Notes
These meatballs can be served as an appetizer, over rice, or in a sandwich. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 2 months.
