- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 oz cream cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup cooked chicken or pepperoni (optional)
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
- Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Prepare the filling and whisk the egg.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine almond flour, shredded mozzarella, and cream cheese. Microwave for 1 minute, stir until smooth, then mix with egg, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough between parchment paper into a circle about 1/4 inch thick. Add filling on one half, fold the other half over, press edges to seal, and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the calzone rest 3–5 minutes, then slice and serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
Use room-temperature cream cheese for easier mixing. Avoid wet fillings to prevent a soggy bottom.
